The second rifle of my pair ordered carries a Rigby number 5455 and in both cases Lord Zetland supplied matching scopes for both of the rifles. The Rigby rifle numbers follow a standard chronological sequence and are marked on the bottom of the trigger guard.

Its very intereting looking at the ledger especially the Mauser serial numbers; My "Mauser" serial number #1032 and is in sequence to the next that fall below mine..... but the previous rifles built have varied numbers (example: #1031 was built in 1929). The somewhat random Mauser factory numbers can't really be used to judge the chronological order when dating Rigby Mausers as Rigby was dependent on what Mauser actions were being delivered at the time.

I visited J. Roberts in London in 2005 when I got a copy of my ledger for my .275. A friend of mine had seen an older "1908" ring marked Rigby .275 that J. Roberts had at the Safari Show and wanted to buy it. Since I was in London on business I offered to drop the check off for it at the shop. It was great to see some of the rifles stored in the gun room; some amazing stuff!

Paul- If you have a copy of your ledger can you post a pic of it? Also would really like to see a some pics of any original accessories that you have in the case as those are scare and hard to come by.
