I asked this question a little while ago but didn't get any "They are great replies".

I dont know if this helps you but a very good value scope at the momment is the "Nikon Monarch" 2-8x32. It has 3.8 to 4" eye relief and is $289 at SWFA and Optics Planet.

Think I will grab one myself.
