My post was really just being a bit sarcastic.

Oil + the threat of "terrorists" = Government action in Western Africa

No oil + genocide = Apathy in Rwanda (previously), Sudan and Zimbabwe

I wonder in the long run which countries will provide the next generation of international killers?

Who said oil makes the cogs turn?!
