I tend to agree. The only exception to this is they MAY have got guns stocked in England (not saying this one in particular but others) as this is a personal thing.

Maybe the proof marks will show something. I am assuming that
if the gun was made in Germany or where ever it had proof marks before leaving, then MAYBE re proofed in the UK.
