I spent 2 days searching around in my old deer hunting area and came up with 2 deer tracks. Now, whether it's because of the fires slightly to the West of that area last summer, or due to the wolves, I don't know - there are virtually no deer left in that area now.
The government has closed the 'whelping' season here, but that really doesn't mean a great deal to some people.
