Anyone ever try the pachmayr leather slip on pad on a ruger #1?Will it slip over the factory pad? Iam not going to install a brake,Will just try a different pad.My ruger factory pad is only 1/2inch thick.There has got to be something thats better.Also do the big bore double rifles come with factory recoil pads or do the owners just shoot them with out Pads and just take the kick?Seems like the470/ 458lott would be hard on the shoulder with out a very good recoil pad.Anyone have a favorite?
