Hi Ben,

I have to agree with Tophet1 as to what possibly NEEDS to be done as apposed to what the owner WANT’s done as a personal preference.

Most people who own or have owned a CZ550 mostly agree that the action needs to be smoothed, slicked up and to ensure correct feeding with the projectiles that you want to use on the big stuff so that when “Push comes to Shove” you will be able to reload quickly without the possibility of jamming, meaning in the heat of the moment of a charge you can keep firing.

Unless you have experience in this field, I suggest that a qualified gunsmith be used or you can loose a lot of value of the firearm if in-correctly done. I am using another forum member Alex Beer in Tasmania although there are a lot of very competent guys on the mainland, one is Tony Small.

As for the engraving and again as Tophet1 has said is a matter of choice but I am using the same person, Ron Croxon who is also a forum member to do the engraving for me.

I now have the new custom stock in my hands that Ross Waghorn has made for the CZ and I am waiting for the engraving to be finished before it is back to Alex for Rust Blueing which will be by the end of June God willing.
