HeHe, It could be done but as you say it's not the nice way to do it . Over here Carcano rifles are not worth much ,if you look around they can be had in poor condition for $60 and up .Sending a complete rifle is a pain and expensive, so to send the parts less the receiver to be reassembled on another receiver would work. I already have 2 Carcano's ,one is as issued ,the other I bought already cut up ,this is the one at the stock makers now ,I will post pictures when I have some, it should look good in an English style stock.
