I'm in this thread quite late, but beautiful duck to have for the first. Out of curiosity, was it mounted or eaten? Considering the memories attached I hope the former, but if not at least you have the photo and the firearm. 12 years of duck hunting, canvasback and pintail have been a failed desire from the start. Great story to go with the photo, since you mentioned you like eagles, here's a shot I took by the side of the road on the way to work today.
