BRNO 601 magazine spring substitute?

Whilst tinkering with my .308 BRNO and some dummy rounds I managed to break the magazine follower spring (W shaped flat steel spring).

I know my chances of finding one are next to impossible, but I was wondering if anyone used an easier to source spring and modified to work. I had a look at a K98 one and a M96 one and they are to lond sideways (and also a bit weaker).

Also, does anyone know if the current CZ 550 ones can be made to fit?
