You don't need special rings for the .460: I have shot a .416 Weatherby for years (which kicks just as much), it had normal Leupold bases and normal Leupold 30 mm rings installed. Never a problem.

Get the illuminated red dot scope (Aimpoint) as you can move it forward as much as you want (infinite eye relief). At least my .416 Weatherby kicked with quite a lot of barrel rise - you don't want to be kissed by the scope with such a caliber.

It was one of the first guns I ever shot, I remember that every shot felt kind of like a having a car accident ... . A 400 grain bullet at 2700 f/s will do that.

Managed it after a while, however. Best thing about shooting it back then is the fact that all guns that came afterwards feel like baby guns (including my .470 with max loads).
