Minimum in England for roe is 6mm and 1700ft/lbs. Minimum in Scotland is a 50 grain bullet AND 2450fps AND 1000ft/lbs.
That means in England, the 140gr must be loaded to at least 2339fps and the 160gr must do at least 1988fps.
No problem in Scotland on energy, but you may technically be low on velocity.
Don't know what factory velocities are so you'll need to check the makers websites.
Dumb rules, but there you have it! As said above, whether anyone will know or not is up to you, although it may be more of a problem to get it on your ticket for deer in the first place if you haven't already.
