Here's a recent test with recently made bullets. Performance was similar in test media...to my general experience with the 235 on whitetail deer does although I have seen complete disintegration in deer, so maybe this recent test indicates a bit tougher bond between jacket and core.

As stated, a friend of mine swears by them for elk and he says he has had and seen {another fellow he knows uses them, too} mostly thru&thru shots with them.

The '80's bullets I used blew up into tiny shards on side shots on deer. I cannot explain it. Daryl's experience is in line with my friend's. I called Speer and they told me there have been technical changes over the years to the bullets, but didn't have the exact details on the changes.
