Arrietta and Grulla make some very nice DRs. I've never owned one, but inquired a while ago about trying to get a Grulla E95 imported to me here in the states, but to no immediate avail. One stone that's been thrown at Italian and Spanish makers as a group involves regulation and accuracy. That may be from the "old days", I don't know if there's still a concern there.
