What's the best binoc is a little like whats the best scope; depends.

I carry as little as I can because around here the going is straight up both ways and frankly, for years didn't carry binocs at all except on the horse, ATV or when varmint hunting on the UTV.

Then for Christmas one year I got a pair of Hungarian-made Zeiss 8x20BT. This little thing has excellent optics and tho I have a bigger pair, rarely carry them because these do what I want. I carry them everywhere.

They are small, light, excellent clarity.

For all-day scanning, I have an old pair of Leupold 7x30's {near 30 years old}. They also have very clear lenses, are in the medium-size category and are comfortable for all-day use, as when varmint hunting.

Even if you have a bunch of binocs, I bet you would find a use for the little Zeiss 8x20's or 10x20's. They are just that useful.
