The easiest safety is to use a Buehler type. Easy install. Best on the bolt handle is to replace it with a low one. Looks better and certainly functions better. Awfully high rings would be required to clear the stock handle. If memory serves they take early model 70 bases, but there are two ranges depending on the serial number. I always preferred the one piece bridge type mount as it only requires one rear screw hole be drilled and tapped. If the trigger is replaced a bolt stop will have to be fabricated. I always used Timney triggers and made a long screw to use one of the reciever sight holes and that worked well for me. Makes a simple effective bolt stop.
