So much... Sounds very much like our bear. Many who hunt them once without drama consider them very easy to kill, but over time and observation they can be very tough indeed. When hit badly and/or fired up by the dogs, they can be absolutely amazing in their tenacity. On a couple occaisions I've wondered where they store all that oxygen....
