The restock was done to replicate a Type A Mauser with measurements taken from my 10.75X68 Type A.
Interestingly, this rifle feels as good as any up on the shoulder - totally balanced and correct.

I once had a .280 Halger which was also built on a SB magnum action. I think they all were simply because the pressure of the .280 Halger was too high for the standard action.

BTW, does anybody here have .280 Ross brass and dies for sale?
