Politicians have been watching too much TV. Also just another category to ban. Maybe they didn't get the magic number to confiscate with just semi-auto shotguns.

RLI forgot to mentioned large calibre pistols are now almost totally banned ie above .38/9mm. Unless the shooter shoots competition in a sport which is competed in at the Olympic or Commonwealth Games.

Having said that so far I have never been turned down for a firearm application but have never tried to get a pistol but have had one firearm confiscated.
