Lucky indeed.
I feel I got into mine for what would amount to a gift of a price.
I've had my eyes and ears open for one of these for quite some time, and the one I got is perfect for my interest and use.

The mount system on your gun looks pretty easy to reproduce (for rings that is), do you have metalworking skills and equipment?
You should get it set up with a little piece of glass...
