This is bullshit. A lot more doubles were made in smaller calibres like the 303, 250-300 and what not than in the 465, 470, 500, 577 and 600. The bulk of them used on dangerous game would have been in medium calibres like the 450-400 and similar.

And vastly more double rifles made in the old days ended up in the Indian jungle than in the African bush. You can buy whatever the heck you want, but there is a lot of BS in some of the mine is bigger than yours stuff that you're bandying about here.
