Lapping locking lugs questions??
      19/05/09 06:42 PM

Hi All

Anyone here lap their own locking lugs at home without removing the barrel? If so are there any tips or warnings you could share? I am kind of worried about proper cleaning out of the lapping compound as it could be hard to do with the barrel still in place. Also, when checking for proper contact on both lugs should the firing pin/cocking piece be installed? Does this not put more pressure on the bottom lug and give you bad info in regards to how much and which lugs needs to be lapped? Any help on this subject is much appreciated.

Regards
