The "Vierlingspatrone", otherwise known as the 5.6X35R, is the same cartridge as the .22 WCF, a black powder cartridge which was the forerunner of the .22 Hornet. It is virtually identical to the Hornet, except that its rim is thinner, which means that .22 Hornet cases can be used to load it, provided the rims are turned down to allow the action to close. Another solution would simply to deepen the rim recess on the barrel to allow unaltered Hornet cases to be used.
