Now that I've had a good night's rest, here's another couple of names. Both George C Nonte and Lee Jurras have gone to Africa and Oz back in the 70's. Nonte was a writer who authored several home pistolsmithing articles and books and fair ballistician on top of it all. Lee Jurras put the shooting world on it's ear with his Super-Vel line of cartridges with slightly lighter bullets and higher velocities at +P pressures. Hell, both these guys used to shoot 5 gal buckets at 100 yds with the Colt 1911A1 and S-V 190 gr jhp's going at 1050 f/s.
