APH, most recoil reducers have mercury and ballbearings encapsulated in a sealed metal tube that is inserted in the butt. It does seem to work a bit and on top of that it adds at least a pound to the rifle. As to your see thru sights, I'm not quite sure what you're describing. Most doubles should get 1" groups at 50 yds and some will get that at 100 yds. I've been thinking on a recoil reducer for my Lott to make it a bit bore enjoyable. Either that or I'll just have to get it Magnaported.
