Daryl, I'm back home now and had a chance to refer to my load book.

In my 10 with a RB, 135 grains of FFFg gave 3.5" groups in plastic Federal cases and 2" (all crossing) at 50 yards in brass, both with a single .125" over powder card and .5" fiber wad.

By going to 138 grains and adding two over powder cards and a slight crimp to the plastic case, the group closed to 2" and velocity averaged 1285fps.

Looking at my data, 135gn FFg with one card and a slight crimp crossed 10.5" at 30 yards! That's probably why the rifle was priced the way it was! Increasing from 130 grain of Goex Cartridge up to 170 grains only gave an increase of 110fps, I think due to the inability to fit a sufficient sealing wad column in a 2 5/8" case. Even with smokeless loads I get a stray round that is much slower than average every now and again that I blame on using fiber wads. I'm convinced that lubed felt wads are vastly superior to anything else when it comes to this (you can easily tell if there has been any blow by), and plan to retest my blue dot loads to see if the flyers reoccur.
