I think that is a beautiful piece of wood. Burl and swirls and feather and curls look really fancy but don't always make a strong, stable stock. I prefer a straight grained stock that will last through thousands of rounds without chipping or cracking. I'm not saying you can't have a strong stock with extra figure, but quite often people use/buy a stock just based on the figure. There are a lot of fine looking guns with cracked wrists, broken forends, and chips in the heel of the butt to prove it. A stock with the best qualities of structure and the best in figure is very difficult to find and usually comes at considerable cost, i.e. more than most people are willing to absorb as part of the cost of their gun.
