McNaughton, Is this gun engraved with the Francote name? Wondering since I have one nearly identical sans any name at all. Mine also does not have cocking indicators and if memory serves the top lever works on a coil spring. Mine also was a 16ga. and I orginally obtained it in less than pristine condition with intentions of building a rifle. It handles so well though I decided to sleeve it to 20ga. and keep it as a shotgun. Ended up being A LOT more work than orginally expected!!! A neat little gun though. If all finally works out it should be a nice shooter.
