I bought a few boxes of .410 SGs years ago when my youngest daughter was carrying the little shottie afield. They were modern plastic 2 1/2-inch shells, each containing three SG pellets in a vertical stack. Patterns were only a couple of inches at about 15 yds and maybe hand-sized at 25 yds, probably a useful home defence load but not much use in the field.

They were a good confidence-booster for the youngster following me into the swamp!
