Fellas, shinz is right.

In fact, this has become what I have to call something of a feeding frenzy and I am concerned we might lose a very experienced member over it. I don't normally throw a dog into somebody else's fight {...or do I... }, but since I was originally involved, I feel compelled...

Remember, I was the one that pegged Ndumo on his statement about Swift bullets, not Woodleighs because I was skeptical about his statement. I myself read far too much into his placement of Swifts as "second".

He responded; "9Three, I never said their bullets are bad, even though I have seen a few failures.
Some-one has to be second, and if you ask me, I put them second." This is in his public post.

He then PM'd me a few pics of failed Swifts, and never once said they were "bad" bullets. In fact, the reason he made such a big deal about it to Swift was that he had such great experience with them that the failure of a few under certain circumstances had him wondering if they changed manufacturing processes or something like that. In other words, he was awake, noticed all was not peachy, and commenced investigating. He did NOT make knee-jerk decisions IMO.

I totally agree with 500 that over time and hundreds or in Ndumo's case, thousands of bullets, weird stuff happens even to the best of bullets and such "weirdness" is not necessarily an indictment of the bullet. 100% agree. But...

However, if your job is shooting bullets into animals, and you pay lots of money for top performance of a certain bullet, and you recommend same to your clients, you have every right, and I would say responsibility, to keep a very close eye on what is going on. Ndumo did.

His main problem as presented to me was that during his investigation of the failures he felt he did not get good communication from the company and this set up "red flags" to him, i.e. concerns that the company might be changing something. As you guys in business know, when it sounds like a company doesn't want to talk about a problem or answer a question it usually means there is a problem. In this case, I do not believe there was a technical problem overall with their bullets, just maybe not the quickest explanation of what happened, and maybe some difficulty in actually investigating what exactly the problem was. At any rate, my skepticism of why "customer service" matters regarding bullet performance was explained, at least to my satisfaction.

Finally, let's remember; This thing started when Ndumo courageously and frankly was willing to rank bullets. He never said any of his top three were bad. In fact, they are his top favored bullets!! Looked at another way; Would it be fair to suggest that those who favor Woodleighs and rank North Forks "second" are by definition condemning North Forks? I guess that's how I see some of the "fun-making" here.

My opinion is that for that, he has gotten something like an "eyes-wide-shut" response by some who haven't even read the thread. I personally do not think it is quite fair. I do not intend to demean anyone who posted. I just don't want us to lose a member over confusion. I think this guy deserves a platform and frankly, an apology. I can understand why he wouldn't post a response, but I hope he does.

Just my opinion.

I love you all.

Merry Christmas!!

PS and by the way... Great bullet pix.

We need a "Show off your bullet".
