The case was shattered on 3 corners, amazingly the foam held the rifle securely and no damage was done. Yes, I think there's something screwy going on there. My only complaint has been with Fed Ex's pricing for small items but this situation is the end. Of course insurance claims and rising premiums will eventually get their attention but maybe not before they have somehow acquired the US postal service and gained monopoly powers. Maybe it should be brought to the attention of the NRA.
