I don't have a Winchester made Parker reproduction but I've seen and handled them at various Vintage Cup events and think they are of very good quality. They won't have the same resale as the originals, but that's not why people buy them. The materials used in the reproduction will be higher in quality. For me, I'm more of a Merkel guy and have shot my 247SL as my sole upland game gun for many years now. However, if I were to invest in a currently made reproduction, I would probably save up and buy one made by Galazan. If I didn't want to spend that kind of money and just wanted a reproduction for pure using purposes, the Japanese made Parker reproductions will only set you back $3-$4,000 as compared to the higher priced Winchester made guns.
