I think that the increasing wealth we here in the western world has experienced has offered a bigger interst in these doublerifles in general. Certain people within the world of firearms/hunting has always known that a doublerifle was often used in India and africa by british sportsmen, and with the increasing movies, hunting DVDs, forums etc has promoted not only history, but also guns that were used back then. People are searching for originallity of history and at the same time also wants to become a "part" too. If anyone should doubt this..just look at the participents in cowboy action shoot. Guns, dresses,names etc. When holding an old pre-war doublerifle in your hands it isn´t just a gun, but a history too, when the world was different,bigger, more simple (political aspects) and so on...maybe some sort of escapism.??
I have lots of books about India/hunting, and they have really inspired me to buy a borerifle, and looking at forums and such seing other borerifles too it became a "must have"(obcession maybe).
