No, they are both based on the 378 Weatherby Case, but the 495 case is shaped more like the Capstick only with more taper and holds less powder than the 500 A-Square. I believe it "only" achieves 2420 fps with a 570 grain bullet, but has somewhat lower recoil. They both use .510 caliber bullets however.
