Nothing wrong with the 458 WinMag with the proper loads. Isn't the action a little long for the WinMag? The Lott would be a nice easy job to do. Just get a reamer and your bottom metal. How about a 450 Rigby? Then you could push 550 gr and 600 gr bullets at critters at about 2100-2200. Just food for thought. If you do the right job, I may like so much that I may try to pry it out of your hands. :c
