Buy the Lott. I've shot two Cape Buffalo with mine, and neither one went more than 15 yards. Recoil is just something to get used to. I shoot offhand, or off sticks. Sighting in at the bench is hard, but after sighting in the rifle, you won't shoot on the bench again.

My choice of scope is a Leupold VX-III1.5-5.
