I agree. My VXIII 2.5-8x with B&C reticles in great. My Swarovski 2.5-10X 30mm is also great & I see the advantage only in the greater magnification & a bit of advantage in low light right on dusk. A Leupold VXIII in 3.5-10X would also be great I guess. I do not shoot at game beyond about 400 yards (done it only once at that range) & so the VXIII 2.5-8x with B&C reticles is all I will ever need. I actually prefer the VXII 2-7X for some of the rifles & the 1.5-4X for the light weight or medium bore rifles like the 358 win.
