How far were you from the target--??
and yes agree with Jabalihunter that shooting off a bench normall does not work well with a double...I shoot all my bolts up to .458 off a bench with no problem and get decent groups however not the case with the double..

You may wish to search on this site as recently there was a thread on types of rests used while shooting doubles..
