The stock looks just like the one on my BRNO 21H in 7X64, except of course for the cheekpiece, which is almost certainly an add on. However, I can understand the reason behind it. The BRNO action requires "high" rings for the scope to clear the bolt handle. Mine is equipped with Warne "high" rings, and even then I was limited in the size of the ocular cell by the height of the butterknife bolt handle.

I had to add a lace on cheek pad from Brownell's to raise the comb to the point that the scope was readily usable.

In the benighted age when these rifles were manufactured, Europeans seemed to take for granted that scopes were auxillary equipment and that instant access to iron sights was an absolute must. Hence, factory mounted scopes came equipped with "see throughs", which allowed the shooter immediate use of the iron sights without removing the scope. This naturally put the scope much too high for instant target acquisition and snap shooting.

Rather than alter the metal work by lowering the scope clearance of the bolt handle, the owner of this rifle chose to accomodate the wood to its idiosyncracies, hence the atrocious stock.
