Cold Steel Buffalo hunt web link ?

I have seen references to a cape buffalo hunt with a spear that is supposedly on the cold steel web site.

Have never found it there, can anyone point me in the right direction with a web reference? Thanks.

Can't find it either, and have gone thru the whole site, I remember the article, It was by some Doctor, and he claims a cape buff, and was going to try for an ele.

I have never been to their websight but I have seen the buffalo you are talking about in their add they run in primitive archery. I have it in my hands now. it was done by the president of the company Lynn C Thompson of ventura Ca and he has done it more than once.Says he used the samburu spear If I can get a scanner to work ill scan it.(my boys were doing "bio research and messed my CPU up

). Email the web sight they must be able to give more info.

Thanks. If your scanner works that would be great.

Is there a story as well? Do you know if they used the standard samburu spear or a heavier one? Also how did they hunt it - by ambush, stalking etc?

Just some brief details if you have them would be fine. Thanks.

the add doesnt have much info on the hunt just a small picture at the bottom. Somewhere I read an article about him but i cant remember where.
if you want to see amazing stuff check out a search on atlatl Bob. atlatl Bob I have seen and talked to him a some tradition archery events. He has taken deer and hogs with his Atlatl. the man can stand and throw spears-darts into a bear target all day at 50 yards. He was saying when he hits a hog it is devastating to them. I saw where one of his group has taken bison with his atlatl. I emailed cold steel and some archery budies ill also scan the add for you tonight, Here is a book by another guy who taken a cape buffalo and much more with a spear

. Gene Morris he says he speared his cape buffalo from a tree unlike Lynn who took his from the ground spear hunting book

Hey, how about some 20' Lances with the spearhead attached? Lancing while chasing down the critter on horseback, ain't that the way the officers who came from gentry class do it.
