This is a Heinrich Scherping 98 Mauser in 8x60S built in 1926 in Hanover Germany

What a beautiful rifle, What do I love? let's see, the caliber, 1/2 oct. bbl., casehardened and engraved action, set triggers, carved cheekpiece,cartridge trap, and the claw mounted scope. All that fiddleback is a nice plus too. Great rife!

Neat rifle!! I dig the caliber and the style- hate the pistol grip. The other thing I dislike is how clean it looks- you need to rectify that with some time outside with it!! Cool rifle and unusual.
