Botswana Elephant hunt cancellation

Guys,

I was reserving a 7 day (non exportable) Elephant hunt in Botswana for an elderly client who has just pulled out.

The hunt is due to take place in the tribal lands that run from the backline of the Tuli Block up to and beyond Selibe Phikwe, in early April 2008 and the cost is US$10K all in. As with all my Elephant hunts, it's mature bulls only.

Hey buddy how can you post things like this with dates like this as well!!!!!!!!hehehehe..... you know what it is like after December here in SA when you take the wife and kids down to the coast for a holiday.......NO MONEY!!!!!!!

Ah, look on the bright side, the hunt isn't until April 2008, so you've got from now till then to save up the money!

I think I know what you mean by "non-exportable", but would you please clarify for the benefit of us uninformed?

I can do that for you, - with pleasure.

Non exportable in this instance means you can't take any part of the animal for trophies. In other words, we identify a suitable animal, then hunt and shoot him but all we can take is photographs and memories......

The difference between 'non exportable' and PAC or problem animal control, animals is that PAC means that an individual animal has previously been identified as a problem animal and targeted for shooting..... whereas a non exportable Elephant is an animal that is shot solely due to an overpopulation problem in the general area...... ie, too many Elephants.

Usually neither type comes with export licences, so trophes cannot be taken in either case
