RODDA & CO. MAKERS. BY APPOINTMENT TO H.E. THE VICEROY. & H.R.H. THE DUKE OF EDINBURGH. LONDON & CALCUTTA.', 11-groove rifling (clean), Jones patent rotary-underlever, massive treble grip action with carved percussion fences, non-rebounding back-action locks with bolted hammers (bolts operating on half-cock), best fine acanthus scroll engraving, with the makers name inlaid in gold, retaining some original colour-hardening and finish overall, 14 3/8in. figured pistolgrip stock with cheekpiece, sling swivels, horn pistolgrip-cap and chequered steel buttplate with charge designation 'CHARGE OF POWDER 10 DRS. Men were MEN back then, and didn't let sissy notions like permanent nervous system damage slow them down. 
BTW, that sold for 27.5BP+VAT+buyers premium. A healthy sum, pad or not.
