This really might be a concern with some of the 458 Lott guy's that needed the shorter tungsten solid bullet for more case capacity. They will replace the Grand Slam line with Trophy Bonded Bearclaws and Sledgehammer solids. Lets just hope the rumors are not true that q/c has slipped since the TB line was taken over..

That would make me sad -- I was unable to get TBBC's to feed in my M77 Lott.

http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=528023 still has some if you want to stock up before they are gone for good. They are listed as an "Inventory Reduction" but $75.99 is much higher than the $42.99 I paid a couple of weeks ago (box of 25).

Sure thing MopaneMike. I actually got them from Midway, but it was a couple of weeks ago. A couple of weeks before I bought them they were up at ~$75 like they are now, and a few weeks before that they were at the lower price. So if you keep watching them the price may drop back down to what I paid.

I don't know if MidwayUSA is going to be reducing the price anytime soon. They had the AGS price marked down for a very long time, quite a few months. I have seen someone selling some of these on ebay for about $10 cheaper than Midway is right now if you are interested.

I have some AGS Speer bullets I bought about 4 years ago and they weren't cheap then. You'd think if they were droping them they would be a little cheaper to clear the inventory.

Actualy, Midway is selling for about 50.00 less per box of 25 than when I last bought them... There is a guy on ebay (Charles Whitcomb) who is selling for 64.95 per box. I ordered 2 boxes.. Just because... I'm glad they are bringing th TB solid back to the public, I think thats a fantastic bullet and much less $$

What are you planning on shooting with them, if you don't mind me asking? Not too long ago I loaded some up in a .338 Winchester and checked to see how much steel it would go through. The thickest tried was 1.25 inches and it went right through, no trouble at all. There was a gold-colored crater about half an inch deep with a smaller hole at the bottom of the crater that continued through.

It seems MidwayUSA has lowered their price on a box.

$%!@$%^#^&88!!!!!

I just bought some at ebay for 10.00 more per box..

This is a super deal at Midway, a lifetime of Buff & Ele bullets that are the cream of the crop in solids..

Thanks KennithI

Our local Sportsmans Warehouse used to get $114 per box of the .458 AGS solids. So whatever you guys are paying is a bargain.

Speer says that even at US$4 per bullet they were losing money on the AGS.

Ordered mine today at Midway @ 49.95....Thanks DrJon.... They have 60rnds left, then gone forever.. It is very expensive to produce centerless ground tungston inserts
