Thinking about next year, what are your Aussie and/or Kiwi hunting plans for 2006?

Prospective or actually planned and booked.

Aside from work I am going to do an Axis (Chital) hunt to north Qld, a bunch of small game hunting around home, fallow hunt at home in April.

That will be about all I have time for. What about you Nitro -sounds like you are getting your camel shit together?

Have only planned the Early part of the year.

Mainly fallow and other deer in South Australia
+ maybe a few other deer species if they stick
their heads up at the wrong time.

Will also try for a Red deer in the Grampians
in Western Victoria.

It will start with the usual rabbits, foxes and cats locally over the rest of summer. Maybe a few after work sambar strolls too.
Then after the Fallow once their antlers harden up, pre rut and during the rut for both trophies and photos/video. Arranging a Chital hunt through Matt G at the moment.
Then back into the sambar for the winter.
Always looking for red deer, wild dogs, pigs and goats but mostly they are hard to find locally.
Some pig and goat culls through SSAA CPM program.
The usual small game stuff continuously through the entire year.

Looking forward to it all. Especially the Chital hunt and start of the CPM stuff.

As always, I am considering a Gan-Gan buff hunt. No plans yet but 'thinking' about it for August. Will depend on my work situation.

I might be hunting an Australian woman in January or February however I don't think that is the topic.

In February I might be assisting someone in midnight roo culls on his farm in Vic.

If I have one new toy before August though, I will make it a point to get hold of NE 450 No 2 for some double rifle lessons and hopefully be in NT for a buffalo hunt sometime in September or October. Not booked, but rather prospective and entirely dependent upon delivery of the special toy.

The usual pig ,dingo ,cat hunts in Cape York and North QLD in general. If my 458 Lott which went missing in the mail gets returned to me, then I will get some scrub bulls and a trophy buffalo. I might be able to squeeze in a Chital hunt, depending on finances at the end of the year. I have also hoped to do a camel hunt ,if one can be organised at a decent price.

I'm trying to make it over for June. I understand that RT Melborne to Darwin is under $150 right now.
