Rifles for Sale - Colorado USA
      #384080 - 11/04/24 10:24 AM

Shipping not included in pricing.

Winchester 1895 30-40 Krag
Barrel shortened to 21.5" Sort of a carbine configuration.
$1000

Winchester 1895 35WCF
$1800

Winchester 1895 38-72
$2250

Winchester 1895 Flatside 38-72
Rare octagon barrel configuration.
All metal a mellow olive color.
Only 5000 of the 1895s were made in the "flat side" style - all in 1895-96 so this is an antique.
Totally original so not perfect - the barrel edges are rough but I just couldn't have it restruck, leaving any restoration to the next owner.
These Flat Sides are super cool rifles!
$3000

Johann Springer Mauser '98 8mm
Superb condition
Ziess scope in claw mounts. Tastefully appointed with tang safety, quarter rib, etc in the quality expected of Springer.
Really, a great rifle of high quality.
$2000

Westley Richards 1871 500No.2 Express (577-500 No.2)
A very good example.
Has been restocked to the correct style so I'd expect it to run faultlessly into the next century.
These classic Westleys are hard to beat in the fun department!
$2750

Have you shot the Westley? How's the bore? Could I get some higher resolution photos please? Thanks.

Yes, I’ve shot it.
I’ll have to take a look at the bore which isn’t all that easy as rifle bores look completely different from the breech than they do from the muzzle and that’s all I can look at on a Martini.
PM your email and I’ll send better pictures.

Ben,

The long box box you sent last summer still sits unopened in my wife's office. Only 22 more day until I get to open that box.

Since my lovely wife thinks this so much fun to buy Christmas gifts in July and flaunt them...I sat her down last week and had her select the Apple watch she has been wanting. Then when the watch came yesterday, I set that box, unopened of course, next to the long box in her office.

Oh the look I got, so much fun.

I still have the little kid in me regarding Christmas. Anticipation of opening this box was driving me crazy.

Our daughter lives next door and our tradition is to carry gifts to her house and open all together as family on Christmas eve.

Last Monday I carried all the gifts we had under our tree over to the daughters house in anticipation Tuesday night-Christmas Eve opening.

Last Tuesday morning daughter called and said both she and her hubby are sick with covid. Christmas eve cancelled. They were self quarantining. There sat that long box from Colorado, still unopened and now unreachable, next door at the neighbors house.

Finally yesterday, Grandson carried all the gifts from next door back to our house and my lovely wife Jane got her Apple Watch.

Thanks Ben for this lovely rifle. It was shipped in a hard case and arrived safe and sound, although into my wife's hand. It is headed to the range and maybe the deer blind tomorrow. Pleasure doing business with you.

I'm so pleased that you like it!
I don't think many have the patience to keep a box unopened for so long!

Very nice.

Also I like the Germanic Christmas Eve tradition.

DoubleD,

That is a good Christmas story with a nice ending. Hope daughter and family get well soon.

Please post a picture of your newest rifle with the deer it took.

Just before Christmas I had a cold for 3 days. Wife wanted to test me for covid. I declined - it's just a stinking cold and not a bad one at that - some sinus congestion is all & a bit of a cough - was tired, slept a lot and didn't eat. Over it in 3 days. Had enough fat stored up for sustenance.
It's going around & always does. Might have picked it up at the gun store - very busy before Christmas. Oh well, it happens.
