My two Model 1903 carbines
      #300538 - 20/05/17 07:49 AM

My two Model 1903 Carbines, one from 1919 with the Lyman 36, and one from 1925 with factory upgraded wood, sitting on an old CIL (Canadian Industries Ltd.)6.5x54 MS ammo box. Both have vg bores.

Very nice rifles both of them but the 1925 is particularly nice, lovely timber. Also I love the ammo box, what a great find.

Beautiful rifles and ammo box! The box is a great way to photograph the rifles.

Yes, the box was a good find. Got it at a local junk auction for $10(Can). The real nice thing about it that you can't see in the photos is that quite a bit of the lettering is actually pressed in relief below the surface of the wood, not just ink printed on the box.

Yes a bit like our CAC boxes, I really like it because like you I have a few 6.5mm rifles & kind of collect CIL packets !

Superb rifles, Rpeck; thank you for sharing.
Do you use them for hunting?
