Couple of our Guys bought new ML's this year.

Wayne's VERY nicely aged,.54, by Kennith L Moore:

Allen K. Rook Rifles .40Cal. in the case.

"Both of these rifles were made in the mid-1850s, and then these new-fangled cartridges came along. So they were just put away somewhere. Both are provincial makers. One is Calvert of Leeds, Yorkshire and the other is Wm. Dooley of Liverpool."

The cased Wm. Dooley rifle has a mould that casts two round balls and two 140 grain 'bullets'. These could be used for shooting English Park deer, usually fallow deer, assuming one had several thousand acres for a Deer park.

Both rifles have Damascus barrels, but one is slightly larger than the other.

At least our pints have 20 fluid ounces in them, unlike those miserable American 16 oz. ones.
Or is Canada now Metric for beer?

I meant to say thank you for putting the photographs on to the website. Would you like a photo of a pair of flintlock duellers/officer's pistols by an obscure maker called Wheeler? He also made guns for the East India Company.

As far as I'm concerned, I still like pints at 20 ounces and quarts at 40 ounces, thus GALLONs contain 160ounces.

My 1-ton Diesel truck, being make in Kentucky reports mileage in US gallons - simply divide by 8 and multiply by 10, that's simple enough. Getting used to it now and convert automatically.

The metric display means nothing to me - I refuse to get involved in the liters per 100 kilometers bullshit/retarded crap.
