G'Day Fella's,

Mchubhcb, whilst I have two bottles of KG-12, I have only used "Patch Out" (on my third bottle of it).
Both of these solvents, seem to be bases on the same chemical formula?
And going on your video, both work equally as well!

It has been a long time since I used a Bronze/Nylon brush, just Patch Out and Cotton patches these days.
Also, these solvents are considered so chemically safe, you can have the shipped Air Mail, even overseas!

Doh!

Interesting Homer. I guess I need to get some Patch out and make a video of that to see how it goes? Still anything is better than sweets which would cause me to cough and still not get that last bit of streaking out.

G'Day Fella's,

Mchughcb, I'd save your money.
The KG-12 seems to be doing a great job!

I only use KG12 now. Best I have found.

I have seen a nice sidelock DR stock damaged by a foaming bore cleaner.

Cheers, Chris

I do not find Patch Out (even with accelerator) any better than straight Butches Bore Shine - however, Wipe Out(foam) has been super and cleans all the copper with an overnight soak - an over night soak is something you don't want to do with a solvent with ammonia in it. With Wipe Out, it's proper (muzzles slightly down).

I use Kroil or Hopper's Solvent for conditioning the bore after Wipe Out. The Hoppe's #9 Solvent is one of the best rust preventatives there is. It is better than about any standard gun oil.

One oil patch, then 1 or 2 dry ones, falling off at the muzzle.
