the following gun is advertised as "Fluss-Stahl-Krupp-Essen Hahn Drilling". Can we determine from the photos available what gunsmith is the real author ? The calibre is 8x57R360 / 16/65. I like the old caibre and cannot find any old catalogues showing such a rifle. Kindly ask to assist me.
its a nice drilling but I fear this is not enough to determine the maker. common problem with many Suhl make guns without a name on it, only the proof marks can help a little bit.

Lancaster pretty much nailed it. Clear pictures of all the proofs and any other stampings could help. I agree with you that the 8 X 57R/360 is a cool old cartridge.
